A second generation settler born in Toronto/Tkaronto, Dish with One Spoon Territory, lo bil is a Toronto-based performance artist and facilitator, part-time faculty at Sheridan College and resident artist at Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence. Her performances involve body-based experiments to generate intuitive “felt” research and unique responsive behaviours through spontaneous utterance, impulse-based scores, energetic flows from unconscious content, object manipulation, unexpected humour and inter-relational proposals with audience.
lo received the FADO Live Art Award at Summerworks 2015, a Kathy Acker Award in 2019, during pandemic she presented video work at Luminato Festival Online 2020 and facilitated online ensemble practices for visual artists through LeParc, Performing Arts Research Cluster at Concordia University and the Centre de Création O Vertigo in Montreal and at School of the Alternative in North Carolina.
